Oliver Wilson is the current Athletic Director for the South Wake Sabres. Oliver and his wife Rebekah have two sons, Trey (16) and Ira (14). They have been homeschooling for 8 years. Oliver is originally from the Greensboro, NC area and moved back to NC from Minneapolis, MN three years ago. Currently Oliver and his family live in the Fuquay-Varina area. He has over 30 years of playing and coaching experience. Oliver played college basketball at St. Andrews College in Laurinburg, NC, and received his MBA from Texas A&M University. Before taking on the role of AD, Oliver was the head coach of our middle school boys team the last three years helping to lead them to 3 consecutive regional and state championships, 1 national championship and 1 national runner-up. One of his favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11, “‘ For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Oliver hopes to bring all of his basketball experience and zeal to his role as AD.

Head Coach - Varsity Girls Basketball
David was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC, then received his degree in ministry from Kentucky Christian University. David is a full time pastor and, for the last 6 years, has been the planter and Lead Pastor at Relentless Church. David is married to his amazing wife of 23 years, Kelly, and has 3 kids, Mia, Jackson and Eli who are all involved in the Sabres program.
In addition to coaching in various leagues from rec league to AAU, David coached our Middle School Girls in 2018/19 and was blessed to lead an incredible group who won the top bracket at East Coast Nationals as well as set the record for most points scored in a season for any Sabres middle school girls team.
Head Coach - JV Boys Basketball
Reginald Chapple, an Ohio native recently moved to North Carolina from the greater Chicago area. Chapple has ten years of experience coaching basketball. Chapple earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Valley Forge Christian College. He also earned a master’s degree in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University.
Coach Chapple began his career as an assistant athletic director and assistant coach at Lancaster Bible College. From there he became a head coach at a few colleges including his Alma Mater Valley Forge Christian College (now University of Valley Forge).
Chapple was blessed with the opportunity to play basketball all through college. Now, he enjoys working with student athletes and impacting lives through sport. He views coaching as a ministry opportunity.
Coach Chapple has been married for 14 years. He and his wife Laquetta have four children.

Jason Wright has been married to Vanessa for 19 years. They are blessed to be the parents to Jacob (15), Taylor (13), and Emily (13) and started their homeschool journey 12 years ago. He graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and has spent over 20 years as an IT Professional working in many different federal agencies in Northern Virginia. He currently works for a pharmaceutical research company supporting multiple data integration projects. The Wrights moved to North Carolina in 2016, and are blessed to be part of the Sabre Community. Jason has previously coached basketball for two years at Colonial Heights High School (VA) for their summer league program and for two years in the Central Loudoun Basketball League in Virginia (Middle School Boys). Jason was the Assistant Coach for the Sabres Middle School Girls team in 2019-2020 and has helped do stats for the other Sabres teams the last two seasons.
